What is your number one need from your next President?
What do you need or expect more than anything else from the next President and their cabinet? I want an energy policy that will help our country be less dependent on foreign resources. Oil prices have affected the price of everything, making the cost of living more expensive without providing a means to keep up with it, let alone get ahead. Do you think that either of these candidates is going to commit to developing and then executing a meaningful energy solution strategy, or is too risky to be held accountable to a real and defined promise?

I want our president to actually be concerned about us...the voters....the people of this country who are actually effected by his decisions. It seems like politicians spend so much time trying to please each other and stick to what they're supposed to be doing, that they forget about us. Just like you said about energy - they definitely aren't paying $4 a gallon for gas! We need a true representative of the people. That's why I believe Sarah Palin is becoming so popular so fast - she is actually real to us and we can relate to her.
I think that the majority of the issues that are being debated should not even be federal issues. They should leave things like abortion and gay marriage up to the states to decide.
I just want an administration who is willing to de-polarize Washington and bring back the beautiful mentality of 'compromise'. Let's do what's best for the nation... not our personal vendettas or party pandering.
